Presentation - Oscar
Hi
I`m Oscar. I am 16 years old. I am tall and slim. I have a kind of red crest. I have a chain with a padlock in my neck. In the photo I am wearing a black T-shirt, patterned trousers, camouflage like, with red suspenders, and militar boots with green laces (you can’t see them).
I’m an anarchist. I hate politicians because they only search the power. They are not interested in people. I hate Nazis because nobody is better than someone else. Once I had a big quarrel with them, because they have attacked us. Usually I’m a peaceful person. I believe that nobody has the right to decide for others or to take away other people’s lives. I only understand violence as defence. I am usually friendly.
I like punk, Oi!, ska, reggae and heavy music. I play the electric guitar in a band called Gudari (Warrior in euskera, a language talked in the north of Spain). I ‘m not from euskadi (the part of Spain where euskera is talked) and I’m not nacionalist (I hate all kind of flags) but the name matched our character.

I’m Pablo Cano Juarez and I’m 16 but next month I’ll be 17. I don’t have any brother or sister and I don’t have pets either.
I live in Badalona with my parents. My flat is a bit far from my high school but I usually take the underground or bus and in five-ten minutes I’m there.
I like playing football with my friends every Friday and going to the disco with some of them at night. If it is impossible to go the same Friday night, I go on Saturday night but with other friends. I also like computers and next year.
If I pass all the exams, next year I’ll study a technical course. I won’t continue studying “batxillerat” (the non compulsory high school degree to enter the university) because I’m not a good student (I’m too lazy and I don’t like studying).
In the picture I’m the guy with glasses and a red sweatshirt. I look very tired because it was 8 a.m. and I didn’t have a happy face.
I don’t know if I’ll do the exchange but probably I’ll do it because I’d like to live this experience.

My name is Marina, I’m 15 years old. My birthday is 6th July. This year I will be 16. My eyes are brown, but when I look to the light, they become green. I have long dark hair but it is not very long yet because it was short last year, so it is still growing. In the summer, it becomes blonde. I’m not very tall but I’m not very short. My skin is dark. I love going to the beach. I’m a happy, funny person, but in the bad moments, I’m very, very sad. In short, I’m a sensible person. I’m a nervous girl; my friends say that I can’t stop moving.
I love listening to music. I listen to it because it is a way of escaping from
real life. Music always goes with me. When I’m sad I listen to sad music, when I’m happy, I listen to “happy” music. I can’t tell you which one is my favourite song because I like a lot of songs and I don’t know which one to choose.
I live in Badalona, a big city. I live in the centre of Badalona, next to the beach, next to the shop. I think that it is the best town.
My school is far from home. It is called Badalona-7. It is a big and beautiful school. It has a big playground and big classrooms. The teachers are good. They help you when you need it and they try to teach you a lot of things that are essential for you.

My name’s Maria and I’m a 15 year old girl. My height is medium and I’ve got long wavy brown hair. My face is oval and my eyes are brown and green.
Talking about clothing, I usually wear casual clothes except when I hung out with friends.

My favourite group is Helloween (I especially like them when Michael Kiske sang and Kai Hansen played the guitar, like in the album” Keeper Of The Seven Keys”), and my idols are Kai Hansen of Gamma Ray and Herman Li of Dragon Force (he is Chinese). Lately I listen to Dragon Force very much. They are very good musicians and the style of the band (Extreme Power Metal) is very interesting and exciting. The singer, ZP, is a very great vocalist and they play the instruments very fast, especially the guitarist, Herman Li and Sam Totman. I love the CDs “Valley of the Damned” and “Inhuman Rampage”. For me their most outstanding songs are “Black Fire”, “Valley of the Damned”, “My Spirit Will Go On” and the precious ballads “Starfire” and “Dawn Over A New World”.

I like playing piano, and I play it since I was a child, I play it with voc ,in her house, because it is cheaper than paying an academy to teach me.
I am tall, I’ve got straight, long, brown hair, brown skin and dark brown eyes.
I’m the girl with a scarf, sitting next to a boy in red.
I have lived in Badalona (my city) since I was born ( well I was born in Barcelona , the big city next to Badalona, but I’ ve lived here since I was born).
I’d like to meet new people and learn new things about different countries or simply things that I didn’t know before.
Every day I go to school at 8 o’clock in the morning and I finish it at 5 o’clock in the afternoon. It is a bit boring being here for so long.
We are closed in a room for too many hours. But being with my friends makes it nicer and less boring.
The school is located in the south part of Badalona and I have to take the bus , because I live quite away to come on foot.
My parents are really nice and I am very happy with the life I am living.
In Badalona VII, my school, there are people from 15 different countries. Chinese, Russian…etc.
There are lots of people and everybody here knows everybody else. We are like a big family. The teachers are good, but sometimes you can find a teacher that is really not nice at all.
The school is very big. Let me tell you one thing that happened to me the first year I came here. I was trying to find one of the classrooms. I had a class on the 1rst floor and I went to the 3er floor looking for the room, I didn’t realize I was on the third floor so one of the students ( older than me) took me to the door of the right room. It was a really embarrassing situation!
Here in Badalona there are lots of things to do. It has a big and beautiful beach, and there are mountains that surround the city.
There is a tennis club in the north part of the city where rich people go to play.
But the best thing is the beach. Without the beach Badalona wouldn’t be so pretty.

Presentation - Andros
Hi!
My name is Andros Sanchez Jimenez, I’m from Badalona. I’m 17 years old. I live in Badalona, in the Santo Cristo area.
I go to the IES BADALONA VII. It is a very big and nice secondary school. I am interested in football and scuba diving. My favourite football team is Real Madrid.
I have one brother and he is 12 years old, his name is Marco. In the picture I am wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.

My fauvourite groups are Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, Iron Maiden etc. These are the ones I like the most, but I also listen to other kind of music like Celtic, pop or even classical. It depends on the moment. In fact, I’m mad about music. I take electric guitar lessons and music theory in the Modern Music School in Badalona. I’d like to have my own group, but for the moment I must study. I’m thinking of going to the university and study musical teacher training.
I live in Badalona, a 250.000 inhabitants city next to Barcelona. I like Badalona because it has a very nice beach, where I go sunbathing and swimming every day in the summer. I live five minutes far from the beach. It has also a nice promenade with palm trees and a main street plenty of shops.
My high school is near my house. It only takes me ten minutes walking. The B7, that is how we called our high school, is a big building not very high because it has only three floors, but it’s spacious and luminous. And there is a big playground where I meet all my friends during break times.

This is Sheyla, but my friends call me Shey. I’m 16 years old. In july, I will be 17 years old.
Now I live in Badalona with my father and my grandparents.
I’m not very tall. I’ve long blonde hair, and I have white skin. I have thin lips and my eyes are green although in the summer they are greyer . I sometimes wear my nails painted in red, I love red. During the day I wear a red sweater and black trousers with a white belt.

I’m a sociable girl and I’m very talkative too. So it is not difficult for me to make friends. You won’t have problems with me because I always have a topic to speak about. I’m funny, I like making jokes. I’m addicted to chocolate and to fashion magazines. I like buying clothes and shoes.
In my free time I like being with my friends and going out with my boyfriend.I like going to see the Penya (Badalona basketball team), going to the disco, to the cinema, or simply staying at home with someone talking for hours.
Some moths ago I used to read and I loved it but now I can’t read a lot because of the school.
More things about me? My favourite song is “ Silenci” of Whisky’ns, It is a sad song and although I’m a happy girl I like it.. I don’t know, but I like more songs.. Each one for a special motive.
I live in Badalona but at the beginning of the summer I will go to Masnou with my mother’s uncle and aunt.
Masnou is a little village near the sea.It is quiet and the people who live there are very nice. The streets are very small. Masnou has a port. At night the clubs of the port are all opened. It takes you ten minutes going to Masnou if you come from Badalona by train. Now my high school is not very far from where I live, but when I will go to Masnou, I will be far from my high school.
This experience will be very interesting.

This is Sheyla, but my friends call me Shey. I’m 16 years old. In july, I will be 17 years old.
Now I live in Badalona with my father and my grandparents.
I’m not very tall. I’ve long blonde hair, and I have white skin. I have thin lips and my eyes are green although in the summer they are greyer . I sometimes wear my nails painted in red, I love red. During the day I wear a red sweater and black trousers with a white belt.

I’m a sociable girl and I’m very talkative too. So it is not difficult for me to make friends. You won’t have problems with me because I always have a topic to speak about. I’m funny, I like making jokes. I’m addicted to chocolate and to fashion magazines. I like buying clothes and shoes.

Hi!
My name is Paula, I can tell you some things about me, can’t I? So first, I have to tell you that I’m 15 years old. I have green eyes but my expression is maybe a bit serious, although I am a funny girl. I am not very tall, 1.62 more or less ,and I never wear necklaces, only rings, or earrings. I have blond hair, with some brown lines, and I have a very white skin.
I really like horse riding, but it is very expensive, and I think we can’t afford it. You have to know that I am not very good at other sports, or at drawing for example.
In the photo I’m the girl with the red heart on the T-shirt. I am between two girls, the girl on my right is wearing a red sweeter, she is Sheyla.
Are you very far from your High School? I live near it, 15 minutes walking, but I am very lazy and I prefer going there by bus. My high school is not a huge one, but I like it. Maybe because of its playground, or the classes, or maybe because all my friends are there. But there’s one thing I hate, it looks like a prison, I really don’t like the walls.
Shall I tell you about Badalona? Badalona is in Catalonia and it is where I live. I love it. I have been living here since I was a baby and I know it very well. I know the best ice-cream parlour, and the best parks.
We are on the coast, but the water from the sea is not always very clean. We have a few schools to learn sailing and lots of restaurants with typical food.
Near my home there are the ancient remains of the old roman city. I have visited them, they are very interesting.
Here, basketball is very important. Our team is called DKV Joventud, but we call it “ la Penya” . Although I don’t watch many matches, we’ll go and see them playing when you come here.
I want you to tell me some things about Greece. I have never visited it, you can tell me things like what your typical food is, or a brief summary about the ancient Greece. Do you live near your high school? What is it like? Have you ever seen other parts of the world? What are the ancient ruins like? And You? What about you? Tell me all the things you want about you.
