Day 4 - Monday

The real landing! We have come here to study their traditions and cuisine – talking of food, we are being transformed into little pigs after having gobbled up so many sausages, meat, chips and sugary desserts!
We visited the president of their sort of “consell comarcal”, pretty and interesting young woman, who kindly answered our questions. The setting was quite formal, and I think that we were all quite impressed. More cookies. Later on, we went to the thermal baths. The gardens were very pretty and it would probably be a very nice spot to come and see in the future when the Byzantin baths have been re-opened.

We had lunch with the Greek teachers. They put a lot of effort into making us comfortable. The restaurant was lovely and so was all the fish dishes. We drank ouzo and wine, thank God I didn´t have to teach any classes! Then we all met up in a trendy bar with great music. Friendly waitresses came to take out order. They were ex-students from our Greek high-school, just like the majority of the people drinking there. Later on that evening, we decided to go and buy some fruit – we really needed it!!
